Jack White – leader of the White Stripes, electric-blues wizard, youthful new buddy of Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones – here unveils his second extra-curricular band.
Fronted by the Kills singer Alison Mosshart, the Dead Weather includes two members of his other sideline combo, the Raconteurs, while White, rather perplexingly for a bona fide guitar hero, occupies the drum stool. On the plus side, he also produces, provides some vocals, and co-writes most of the songs.
